Area damage is strongest against packed waves, but it can feel weak against a final boss if every choice depends on hitting many targets. Keep one focused damage option and do not trade away all defensive value for larger effects.
Upgrade Order
- Establish dependable group clear.
- Select upgrades that advance the same weapon evolution or gear synergy.
- Add focused boss damage before difficulty spikes.
- Improve survival or movement if enemies are reaching you between attacks.
- Stop adding unrelated effects once the main setup is working.
Positioning and Co-op
Move around the outside of dense groups so enemies gather inside your damage area while an escape lane remains open. When the screen becomes busy, follow enemy movement and boss warnings instead of watching only your own effects.
In co-op, one player can emphasize area control while another maintains boss pressure. Stay close enough to help without stacking every visual effect on the same position.
Extraction and Longer Modes
Gold is only useful after you secure it through the portal, so judge whether another fight is worth risking the current run. The 20-map Gauntlet rewards consistency across maps. Infinite Dungeons can extend the challenge further, making a balanced synergy more useful than a fragile burst setup.
